Lurcher SOS Sighthound Rescue

Sponsored Bike Ride
Two of our adopters and supporters, Frances and Jim are doing a Sponsored Bike Ride to raise funds for Lurcher SOS. Here in their own words is what they will be doing..
Jim and I are planning to do a sponsored cycle ride in aid of LSOS . Four days from 22 to 25th June (covid restrictions willing ). We are doing the Coast to Coast from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Tynemouth in Northumberland , covering 148 miles in 4 days, with a few big hills thrown in along the way! Would anyone like to sponsor us?
To Sponsor Frances and Jim just click on the DONATE button on the top of the page.
We have a network of supporters, fundraisers and foster homes in Kent, Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire; we home our dogs throughout England, Wales and Scotland, but any prospective adopter would need to be willing to travel to visit their chosen dog in its foster home.
We are all volunteers and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and home abused, abandoned and neglected Lurchers, Greyhounds, Whippets, Salukis, Galgos and all other types of Sighthounds worldwide. Most of our hounds come from Ireland and the UK, but we are proud to help Cypriot and even Romanian and Egyptian Sighthounds! We are now collaborating with an excellent Spanish Rescue, Galgos en Familia, to enable us, with your help, to help Galgos (Spanish Greyhounds) in desperate need.
We are a non-profit organization and receive no funding. We rely solely on donations from the public and are always in need of fundraising support to cover the cost of the care of our dogs.

A Lurcher is a cross between a working dog and a sighthound, bred to add intelligence to a fast dog.

If you can't make the commitment to adopt a dog, why not consider fostering a dog?
