Each dog has individual requirements including socialisation, overcoming trauma and fears, veterinary care and special diets as well as the normal doggy needs of food, bedding, toys and treats. By sponsoring one (or more) of our hounds, you will help us to make sure that these dogs receive everything that they require for a much deserved happy life.

Roisin

Roisin came to us from Ireland 10 years ago. She is a Saluki/collie cross and was very traumatized when she arrived. She wouldn't even come near her foster parents! She became a happy smiley girl, but she is still incredibly fearful of new people. It was decided that she would stay with her fister family forever. She is now at the ripe old age of 15 and has ongoing health issues and is on a special diet for kidney disease. Sponsoring Roisin would enable her to live out the rest of her days comfortably and without pain.

Candela is a galga who came to us from Spain. She is deaf which she copes with very well. For some odd reason, nobody wants this stunning girl, so she has been in the rescue for over 1000 days. Sponsorship money would contribute to Candy’s care and ensure she lives a full and happy life, whether that is in her foster home or in her perfect forever home.
Amber

Amber arrived to Lurcher SOS in 2024 and was quickly taken into foster care due to her kind and loving nature. However poor Amber was chewing her paws red raw, and after many trips to the vets it was discovered she has pruritus associated with allergic dermatitis. She responded well to medication, but she will need medication for the rest of her life which will cost around £50 per month. This additional cost has made it harder to home poor Amber, but luckily her foster dads have decided that they are happy to keep Amber in their family forever! Sponsoring Amber will ensure that her new pawrents are supported and Amber gets the continuing medical help she needs.

Madi came to us from Ireland. She is a beautiful rough-coated girl and unfortunately has a bite history. She is incredibly lead-reactive which makes everyday life very stressful for the poor girl. Luckily, she has stayed as a foster fail in her foster home, but she needs full-time medical care including anti-anxiety medication which she will be on for the rest of her life. Sponsoring Madi will help contribute to this expensive care.

Faun came to us after her owner died, and has been in foster ever since. Poor Faun is 13 years old and due to tumors on her leg, she is looking at a potential amputation. Sponsoring Faun would support her ongoing medical care, and ensure she lives out the rest of her life in comfort and without pain.
