Jimmy

Jimmy (Whippet Cross)

Jimmy is a perfect middle aged gentleman. He is quiet and calm and very polite.  He does have his moments (the odd house training accident but he is nearly there, and a little accident with an over turned rubbish bin) but in general he is such an easy dog  he doesn’t s jump up, doesn’t steal and not heard him bark yet.

Still agile he loves his walks and can run quite fast if the mood takes him, but mainly likes to potter. He walks very well on lead and has a good recall (although also some prey drive so care should be taken where he is let off). He can be left for several hours loose with my dogs but have not tested him alone. No food aggression and can be handled all over with ease, claws cut, teeth brushed.

Jimmy is polite and friendly with other dogs and very tolerant of a friend’s bouncy puppy. He loves to play in short bursts with my young Lurcher but never bothers my older bitch who doesn’t play. He travels well in the car (can’t wait to jump in) and is a dog you can take out an about anywhere you want as he is so well behaved.  He would love a home with another dog but might be ok as an only dog if his human is around most of the day.

Jimmy has had a hard life and his body is covered in scars but he is he sweetest friendliest dog imaginable. His perfect home would have a garden for him to potter around in and a sofa to snooze on, daily walks and interaction with other dogs and lots and lots of love and attention.   Because he can be worried by sudden movement and loud voices I think Jimmy would struggle with younger children but be fine with older ones.

Jimmy is in foster in Hampshire. He is chipped vaccinated and ready to go to a forever home very soon.
