‘Howloween’ Fun and Funds: LSOS Gathering Raises £215
This past weekend, we had the most wonderful time at our Lurcher SOS gathering for fosterers and adopters! It was such a joy to catch up with you all, some of whom I hadn’t seen in years. The weather was on our side, and we were lucky to have sunshine throughout the day, making it perfect for the pups and their families.
One of the highlights was our Halloween-themed fancy dress competition, judged by our amazing Patron, Guy Henry. He had a tough job choosing the winner with so many brilliant costumes on display, but I think he secretly enjoyed it! We had Lurchers, Greyhounds, Whippets, Galgos, and even a Beagle named Snoopy all dressed up for the occasion.
I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets—we raised an incredible £215, which will go directly to helping more sighthounds in need.
It was such a pleasure to meet new faces and reconnect with old friends, especially those who traveled from Derbyshire and Norfolk. Thank you all for making the journey and showing your support. The foster dogs were absolute stars, representing everything we love about these amazing breeds.
