Sebastian
Sebastian’s story is one of heartbreak, resilience, and hope. This brave Cypriot greyhound was found in terrible condition, suffering from what we believe were chemical burns covering his body. His future looked uncertain, but thanks to the dedicated care of Stronger Together Animal Rescue (STAR) in Cyprus, Seb has made an incredible recovery. Now, he’s safe in the UK with Lurcher SOS, and we’re determined to find him the loving forever home he deserves.
Sebastian’s transformation is nothing short of miraculous. When he was first rescued, his skin was raw, and his fur was almost gone. But with expert veterinary care, patience, and love, his wounds healed, his soft fur grew back, and his spirit shone through. Today, he’s healthy, playful, and full of joy—a far cry from the dog who once fought for survival.
Seb is a happy, social dog who loves to run, play, and soak up affection. He enjoys the company of people and will thrive in a home where he’s given time, patience, and love. He is 26kg and estimated to be 2 years old. He is clean in the house so far, sleeps through the night, and has discovered the sofa!
Special Care Needs
Sebastian has Leishmaniasis, a manageable condition that is currently in remission. It’s non-contagious to other dogs and humans, and with the right care, he can continue to live a happy, healthy life. We will happily chat with potential adopters about what this means and how it can be managed long-term, but it primarily includes a special diet to prevent kidney crystals caused by medication, and blood tests twice a year to monitor his health.
Seb is in foster in Suffolk, is vaccinated, chipped, wormed and neutered and ready to find his forever home.
