New merchandise!

New for 2023, we are using RedBubble to make and distribute LurcherSOS merchandise. With a few designs to choose from, you can put them on anything you like from t-shirts, to car stickers, to dog mats! 20% of every purchase goes directly to us and helps hounds in need, plus you get to spread the word and our logo everywhere you go! If you buy some merch, make sure to take pictures and tag us in them, we'd love to share on our social networks.

Financial donations

Lurcher SOS is a small rescue and we are supported entirely by our volunteers and donations. Donations are always needed and very gratefully received no matter how large or small.  It all makes a difference and helps us to continue to help the many Lurchers, Greyhounds and other sighthounds in need. You can donate by Paypal using the Donate button above and also on our home page.

You can also send a cheque or you can use Internet Banking.  Please contact us for our administration address or our banking details if you wish to donate in this way.

Shop online with easyfundraising.org.uk

Easyfundraising.org.uk helps charities, schools, sports clubs, community groups, and other good causes to raise money when their supporters shop online. It works in a similar way to many other loyalty shopping sites, but instead of earning points when you shop, you raise a donation for your cause instead.

Once you join easyfundraising.org.uk you can go to their ‘find a cause’ page and support Lurcher SOS. Each time you shop online with one of their listed retailers, you raise a donation for us. It’s as easy as that.

Fundraise

You can help us to raise funds by taking part in an event such as one of our online auctions on our Facebook page; joining in one of our street collections, holding a boot fair, coffee morning, or sponsored event, or even by making collars, coats etc.

Home check

Help us approve potential homes for our hounds. No experience is necessary as full advice and support will be given.  Home checkers are desperately needed throughout the UK.  Dogs may have found a possible permanent home through their details being advertised on here or on Facebook but can go nowhere until a home check has been carried out and paperwork completed.  Without these volunteers, dogs will linger in foster unnecessarily, taking up valuable foster space for other dogs needing to come to rescue.

Transport

We are always in need of people willing to help transport dogs into rescue from a pound in a different part of the country; collect a dog who has perhaps just arrived in the country; into a foster home or even take a dog for veterinary treatment in the case of an emergency.
